August 9 - AVCA Summer Concert Series. Flashback Heart Attack (80s). Concerts are from 5 - 7:30 p.m. at Grand Park, Town Center Amphitheater, 6101 City Lights Drive. Soka University will present a free concert by Buyepongo (Tropical Latin). The concert will take place from 7 - 9 p.m. on the Campus Green at Soka, 1 University Drive. Parking and admission are free. The Packing House weekly performances take place on Friday and Saturday (except where otherwise noted). When multiple acts are noted on Saturday nights, generally one act is on the mezzanine stage at the Packing House and the other(s) are at the Unsung Brewery in the MAKE Building and/or at the Anaheim Brewery. August 7 - BreaFest: A Taste of the Arts. Brea Fest: A Taste of the Arts will take place from 6:30 - 10 p.m. at the Brea Civic and Cultural Center, Birch/Randolph. There will be music and theatrical performances, an art exhibit, activities for children, and food tastings from over 35 area restaurants. Admission and entertainment are free; fee for food tastings. August 12 - Pacific Symphony "Symphony on the Go." The Pacific Symphony's mobile communiity concert experience is touring Orange County. The 45-minute pop-up concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Ehlers Event Center, 8150 Knott Avenue. A woodwind quintet will present a program of music from Broadway and opera. Segerstrom Center for the Arts/Argyros Plaza Events. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present a variety of programs outdoors in the Argyros Plaza. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is located at 600 Town Center Drive. For most events, admission is free only with the SCFTA's new Plaza Pass. August 14 - Pacific Symphony "Symphony on the Go." The Pacific Symphony's mobile communiity concert experience is touring Orange County. DANA POINT AND DANA POINT HARBOR August 23 - Dana Point Classic Car Show. The Dana Point Classic Car Show will take place from 10 a.m. - 3 pm. on Del Prado Avenue in the Lantern district. The event regularly attracts thousands of people and features hundreds of classic and custom cars. There also will be awards, food trucks and music. Admission is free for spectators. Information: www.danapointcarshow.com. August 27 and September 3 - OC Parks Summer Concert Series. OC Parks will be hosting several summer concerts at area parks. All shows are from 5 - 8 p.m. (doors at 5 p.m., music 6 - 8 p.m.) with free admission and parking. Dana Point concerts will take place at Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach, 33333 S. Pacific Coast Highway. August 13 and August 20 - OC Parks Summer Concerts. OC Parks Summer Concerts take place in a variety of parks over the summer. Food trucks will be available beginning at 5 p.m., and performances are from 6 - 8 p.m. Two concerts will be held at Mile Square Park, 16801 Euclid Avenue. July 30 and August 7 - OC Parks Summer Concerts. OC Parks Summer Concerts take place in a variety of parks over the summer. Food trucks will be available beginning at 5 p.m., and performances are from 6 - 8 p.m. Two concerts will be held in Craig Regional Park, 3300 State College Boulevard (near Imperial Highway). Admission and parking are free (parking is free after 5 p.m.). Ongoing, Tuesday Nights - Surf City Nights. Surf City Nights, Orange County's largest weekly street fair and farmers market, takes place weekly from 5 - 9 p.m. throughout the year. The event includes over 100 vendors, family-friendly/live music street performances, and activities for children. The event takes place along Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach and The Strand on 5th. Check website for weekly entertainment information. The 77th Annual Corn Festival and Parade will take place on Friday from 5 - 11 p.m., Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 11 p.m., with a parade at 9:30 a.m. on La Habra Boulevard between OLG Cnurch and Cypress Street, and Sunday from noon - 8 p.m. Fee for rides, games and vendors; admission and entertainment are free. August 16 - Pacific Symphony "Symphony in the Cities." The Pacific Symphony concert will take plact at 7 p.m. on the Aitken Arts Plaza at Chapman University's Musco Center for the Arts, One University Drive. Starting at 5:30 p.m. prior to the concert there will be family-friendly activities and an instrumemt petting zoo. The Orange International Street Fair will take place on Friday from 5 - 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. in the blocks surrounding the Orange traffic circle at Glassell/Chapman Avenue. The event includes multiple blocks of international food and music organized around country themes, including multiple music stages. August 2 - Family Festivals at the Bowers Museum. This month's festival is a Pacific Islands Festival. The event will take place from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the museum courtyard and will include performances and a variety of art activities. The Bowers Museum is located at 2002 N. Main Street. The City of Santa Ana will present the 2026 Chicano Heritage Festival from 2 - 7 p.m. at Centennial Park, 3000 West Edinger Avenue. The entrance to the event and main parking structure will open at noon at Centennial Road/S. Mohawk Drive. No public canopies or picnics will be allowed prior to this time. The event celebrates the city's rich Mexican American history and will include live performances, a car cruise and show, food vendors, community art, crafts, a kids zone, cultural exhibits and more.
