February 28 - Alhambra Lunar New Year Festival. Year of the Horse. The Alhambra Lunar New Year Festival will take place from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Main Street. There is a street festival, cultural activities and performances, demonstrations, all-day stage entertainment, a petting zoo, Chinese radio and TV stars and more. The Alhambra Performing Arts Center, under the direction of chef/artistic director Bill Yee, will present a live performance of Scott Joplin's classic ragtime piano music performed by pianist Brendan White. The program will take place at 7 p.m. in the Sage Granada Park United Methodist Church, 1850 W. Hellman Drive. Seating is limited and on a first-come basis. Performances at The Packing House - Weekly performances at the Packing House on the mezzanine stage vary. The Packing House weekly performances take place on Friday and Saturday (except where otherwise noted). When multiple acts are noted on Saturday nights, generally one act is on the mezzanine stage at the Packing House and the other(s) are at the Unsung Brewery in the MAKE Building and/or at the Anaheim Brewery. March 3 - City of Cerritos Events Water Lantern Festival. Lantern Festivals traditionally mark the end of the Lunar New Year celebrations. The Water Lantern Festival will take place from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at Heritage Park, 18600 Bloomfield Avenue. During the event guests will release their lanterns onto the water, creating a stunning illuminated display, and there will be cultural performances and gourmet food trucks for food purchases. Sean Gaskell will give a performance and educational demonstration on the kora, an ancient stringed harp from West Africa. The program will take place at 7 p.m. in the Skyline Room. March 22 - Claremont Symphony Orchestra. Robert Sage, music director, with conductor Ruth Charloff and piano soloist Nadia Shpachenko. The program for this concert will include Bernstein: West Side Story Overture, William Grant Still: Sumerland, Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue, Samuel Barber: Intermezzo from "Vanessa," Copland: Appalachian Spring, and Leroy Anderson: Serenata. March 14 - Day on the Green at The Camp. Celebrate spring with live music, a free yoga class, vendor pop-ups and more. Schedule will include a free yoga class at 10 a.m., DJ Crisanto Santa Ana from 10 a.m. - noon, live celtic music by Craic in the Stone from noon - 3 p.m., workshops from noon - 4 p.m. and more. The Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble (PSYWE), conducted by Dr. Gregory X. The "Slavic Inspirations" program will include Elgar: Polonia, Op. 76, Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, op. 30 - 1st movement, and Dvorak: The Golden Spinning Wheel, Op. 109. Segerstrom Center the Arts/Argyros Plaza Events. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present a variety of programs outdoors in the Argyros Plaza. March 6, 7 and 8 - Dana Point Festival of Whales. The city's annual seaside event takes place March 6 - 8. The festival celebrates the migration of the gray whale and other species with ocean-themed activities and events with an emphasis on education and environmental responsibility. Events are both free and fee-based. Events will include a welcoming ceremony with reception and a carnival on Friday, a parade, carnival, makers mart, Harbor music series and other activities on Saturday and Sunday, and a concert on the water on Sunday from 1 - 4:30 p.m. at Baby Beach. Bands will be Jimmy's Buffet (Jimmy Buffett Tribute) from 1 - 2:30 p.m. and Gilligan's Island (Beachy Hits and Yacht Rock) from 3 - 4:30 p.m. See full schedule of events on website. February 28 - Jazz Fest: A Black History Celebration. The City of Fontana celebrates Black History with the annual Jazz Fest. The event will feature music by the Blue Breeze Band and Erin Stevenson, food and art vendors, dance performances, educational workshops, interactive art activities and community booths. This non-cruise event takes place on the first Friday of the month from 5 - 9 p.m. on Spring Street between Juniper Avenue and Sierra Avenue. The event includes pre-1979 classics, hot rods and muscle cars, imports and customs, low riders, specialty/exotics and motorcycles. March 4 and 18 - "Music at Noon" Concerts. The free half-hour concerts take place from 12:10 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. at Glendale City Church, 610 E. California Avenue. Upcoming concerts will be: March 4 - Duo violin recital with Chloe Chiu and Sheng-Ching Shu, and March 18 - Pianist Brendan White performing works by Joplin and Gershwin. The music series features virtuosos from Southern California performing repertoire favorites and music by living composers. March 14 - St. Patrick's Day Parade. The 30th Annual Hermosa Beach St. Patrick's Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. near City Hall on Valley Drive, continue down Pier Avenue to Hermosa Avenue, then turn and end at 10th Street. There will be floats, marching bands, local dignitaries and community organizations, police and fire vehicles, drill teams and more. The parade will be followed by festivities at Pier Plaza from 1 - 4 p.m. Street closures for the event begin early in the morning. Ongoing, Tuesday Nights - Surf City Nights. Surf City Nights, Orange County's largest weekly street fair and farmers market, takes place weekly from 5 - 9 p.m. throughout the year. The event includes over 100 vendors, family-friendly/live music street performances, and activities for children. Outdoor Music at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Outdoor music at the Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Guests must be 18 or over. The Rock Yard is an amphitheater-style arena with two side-by-side stages, and admission is free. Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is located at 84-245 Indio Springs Parkway. March 2 - Performances at The Barclay. U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus. The Concert Band and Soldier's Chorus are the oldest and largest of the U.S. Army Field Band's performing components. In addition to their national tours, formal concerts, chamber recitals ad educational outreach, members of the Concert Band and Soldier's Chorus frequently represent the Army at formal and ceremonial functions, including the Presidential Inaugural Parade and other events. March 14 - Jazz in the Palm Court. The Great Park Palm Court Arts Complex will present a three-part live jazz music series: Jazz in the Palm Court. Inspired by a diverse range of composers and musicians, the concerts will feature a wide stylistic spectrum of jazz music, from the soulful sounds of blues and swing to the bold innovations of bebop and contemporary jazz. March 22 - La Mirada Symphony. Alan Mautner, conductor. "Music of Eastern Europe: Old Worlds, New Worlds." The program will include Bartok: Hungarian Pictures, Alexander Arutunian: Trumpet Concerto, and Dvorak: Symphony No. 9 from "The New World." La Puente Live. La Puente Live is an open-air market in downtown La Puente on Main Street. March 14 - Patriots Day Parade. The Annual Patriots Day Parade is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. beginning at Park Avenue/Legion Street through downtown Laguna Beach on Glenneyre Street and Forest Avenue, ending at City Hall. The parade will include civic and veteran's organizations, school bands, floats, vintage cars and novelty groups. March 7 - Rainbow Harbor/Shoreline Village Mardi Gras Celebration. Celebrate Mardi Gras at Shoreline Village and Rainbow Harbor from 2 - 6 p.m. There will be live Zydeco music by the Zydeco Mudbugs on the Main Stage, roaming entertainment, dancing and a variety of vendors. February 28 and March 1 - 48th Annual LA Chinatown Firecracker Events. Celebrating 48 years, the LA Chinatown Firecracker is one of the largest and oldest races in the U.S. Highlights include an opening ceremony with lion dancers and the traditional lighting of 100,000 firecrackers and a two-day Firecracker Festival. The festival is open to the public and will include live entertainment, exhibitors, a beer garden, vendors and activities for children. March 6 - Getty Center Programs. Variations on a Theme: Benjamin Patterson's Scores. This lecture and performance will consider the art and legacy of Benjamin Patterson, a postwar experimentalist of sound and performance. The program will consider the depth of his artistry by enacting and documenting live performances of work created before Fluxus, and it will take place at 5 p.m. in the museum lecture hall. Sounds of LA with Jimetta Rose and the Voices of Creation. March 16 - Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band. "Boots, Spurs and Dolly," a country music-inspired concert featuring special guests and Showband artists. The Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Gardiner Spring Auditorium, Chaffey High School, 1245 North Euclid Avenue at 4th Street. March 8 - St. John's Concert Series. "The Greatest of These is Love" with the Jubilate Choir and Cathedral Singers. The program will feature a variety of works, all based on a set of poems, all describing aspects of love. February 27 - Pomona Concert Band 2026 Winter Concert. The Pomona Concert Band will present their winter concert, titled "Meet the Band," at 7:30 p.m. at the Palomares Park Community Center, 499 E. March 21 - 66th Annual Swallows Day Parade and Mercado Street Faire. The Fiesta de las Golondrinas and the parade celebrate the return of the swallows to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. The parade is the nation's largest completely non-motorized parade with over 100 entries. Entries include historical re-enactors, equestrian units, high school, junior high and military marching bands, folklorico dancers, community groups and much more. Portions of Camino Capistrano, Ortega Highway and El Camino Real will close by 10 a.m., and the parade begins at 11 a.m. in the historic downtown area (Ortega Highway to Del Obispo to Camino Capistrano). The Mercado Street Faire will take place from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Historic Town Center Park (off El Camino Real and Ortega Highway). March 8 - Santa Monica Symphony. The Santa Monica Symphony, with conductor Pola Benke, will present "Scenes from Life: Identity." In this deeply personal program, Pola Benke brings her Polish musical heritage to the stage. The program will include Lutoslawski: Small Suite, Beethoven: Symphony No.1 and Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 1 with pianist Ryota Yamazaki. Saturday headline band will be L.A. Vation (U2 Tribute).
