APPLE VALLEY

July 4 - Freedom Festival The Fourth of July Freedom Festival will take place from 4 - 9 p.m. at the Lenny Brewster Sports Center, 21024 Otoe Road at Dale Evans Parkway (1.5 miles north of Highway 18). There will be family activities, vendors, a beer garden and music by band TBA. Fireworks at 9 p.m. No alcohol, BBQs or grills, and no animals; all parks also are smoke-free. Sunset Concert Series - The Apple Valley Sunset Concert Series takes place on Thursdays from 6 - 9 p.m. at Civic Center Park amphitheater, 14999 Dale Evans Parkway. The park is adjacent to Apple Valley Town Hall and across from Super Target in the Apple Valley Commons. There will be food vendors and a beer garden; no pets, smoking or outside alcohol. COLTON

July 12 - 138th Colton Birthday Celebration. The celebration will take place from 6 - 9 p.m. at Colton High, 777 W. Valley Boulevard, in the Football Stadium and on Rancho Avenue. Rancho Avenue will be closed to traffic from C Street to Valley Boulevard all day. The event will include live music, games, food and merchandise vendors and a fireworks show. CORONA

July 4 - Corona Independence Day Celebration. The Main Street USA Independence Day parade will take place on at 9 a.m. along Main Street from Ontario to Olive Street. The July 4th Festival will be from 5 - 10 p.m. at Santana Park, 598 Santana Way (limited parking at Crossroads Church, enter at Ontario/Fullerton). The park will open at 5 p.m. and the event features games, food vendors, entertainment by the bands Radio Royalty (Pop/Rock) and Redneck Rodeo (Country), and fireworks at 9 p.m. Pets, smoking and alcohol are not allowed in the park. Corona Summer Street Fair. Concerts are Thursdays from 7 - 9 p.m. on the front lawn of the historic Corona Civic Center front lawn, 815 W. Sixth Street. The evening will include entertainment by Rockstars of Tomorrow at 6 p.m. followed by a movie at 7:45 p.m. There also will be arts and crafts, food vendors, a beer and wine garden and carnival games. Outdoor Music at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Outdoor music returns to the Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Guests must be 18 or over. The Rock Yard is an amphitheater-style arena with two side-by-side stages, and admission is free. Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is located at 84-245 Indio Springs Parkway. Two other series, Noches de Fuego on Wednesday and Sunday nights and Country Night on Thursday night, have now been moved inside to LIT. 21+ for entry to LIT. See additional details on website. LAKE ARROWHEAD

Lake Arrowhead Village Summer Concert Series - All performances (unless otherwise noted) take place from 7 - 9 p.m. at Lake Arrowhead Village, 28200 Highway 189. Reserved seating is available for purchase; free open festival seating is in area behind tables. Festival seating area opens at 10 a.m. the morning of the concerts, but no chairs can be place in line at the gates prior to 6 a.m. Beach chairs and/or blankets are allowed in the festival seating area but not coolers. July 4 - Norco 4th of July Celebration. The day begins with the Mayor's Equestrian Trail Ride and red-white-and-blue costume contest. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the George Ingalls Event Center, parking lot 2 (3737 Crestview Drive at Sixth), and the ride departs at 9:30 a.m. The Patriotic Picnic in the Park will take place from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Pikes Peak Park, 97 Sixth Street. There will be live music by The Storytellers Band, crafts and contests for the whole family, a bike/trike parade and more. ONTARIO

July 4 - Ontario Independence Day Celebration. The Ontario Independence Day Parade will take place at 9 a.m. downtown on Euclid Street. The parade will be followed by the All-States picnic (bring your own picnic) at Ontario Town Square, 224 N. Euclid, with a patriotic pooch contest at noon and music by the Ontario Chaffee Community Show Band. Afternoon events take place in Westwind Park, 2455 East Riverside Drive (south of the 60 Freeway between Archibald and Vineyard). There will be and family activities with rides and games at minimal cost; admission and live entertainment by the band Liquid Blue are free. Ontario Summer Concerts at Ontario Town Square. July 4 - Palm Desert Independence Day Celebration. The City of Palm Desert will celebrate Independence Day with a concert and fireworks at Civic Center Park, 73510 Fred Waring Drive. The event and entertainment by a band playing pop favorites will take place from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. A 20-minute fireworks show will take place at 9 p.m. Attendees may bring picnic dinners, but alcoholic beverages, smoking at portable BBQs are prohibited. Food trucks also will be available for food purchases beginning at 5 p.m. Shuttle service will be provided between The Gardens on El Paseo (El Paseo/San Pablo) and the park from 6 - 10 p.m. Information: (760) 568-1441 or www.discoverpalmdesert.com.

July 4 - Palm Springs All American Fourth of July Events. Events will take place in Sunrise Park, 480 S. Sunrise Way. There will be a pool party beginning at 3 p.m. along with games and food vendors. RIVERSIDE

July 3 - Concert For Heroes. The 2025 Concert for Heroes will take place in the amphitheater of the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard. It is the only symphonic concert staged in a national cemetery. The concert will feature the Riverside Philharmonic Orchestra performing a program of patriotic music and popular classics. Limited seating is available in the amphitheater, and it is recommended that all attending bring lawn chairs and/or blankets (and no bare feet are allowed) and flashlights. The cemetery is a National Shrine, and it is requested that all in attendance respect the grave sites of those who have served. Alcohol is not permitted.
