HUNTINGTON BEACH - SURF CITY NIGHTS. Surf City Nights, Orange County's largest weekly street fair and farmers market, takes place weekly from 5 - 9 p.m. throughout the year. There will be free parking and entry, and bring a picnic, lawn chairs or blanket. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Glass containers and bottle are prohibited, and hard-sided coolers and outside alcohol are not allowed. The Fullerton Farmers Market season returns with live music from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The market is on Wilshire Avenue between Pomona and Harbor Boulevard. LOS ALAMITOS - 3RD OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR. Gates open at 4 p.m. to the Joint Forces Training Base (Farquhar/Bloomfield). The event includes a food court, sponsor booths, kids fun zone (nominal fees for some activities), entertainment, beer garden and fireworks at 9 p.m. Due to security regulations, all adults must bring a valid ID. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged and there is no bleacher seating. Gates will close at 8:45 p.m. or whenever the event reaches capacity. The July 4th Festival and fireworks show will take place from 6 - 9:30 p.m. at Grand Park, Town Center Amphitheater, 6101 City Lights Drive. There will be entertainment from 7 - 9 p.m. by Young Guns (Country), community booths, activities for children and the family, and a low-level fireworks show at 9 p.m. Grand Avenue will be closed from City Lights Drive to Vantis beginning at 5 a.m. Information: (949) 243-7750 or www.avca.net. ANAHEIM - FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION. The 4th of July festival at Peralta Canyon Park (115 N. Pinney) will begin at 3 p.m. Food/game booths will continue until 8:45 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m. There will be live entertainment from 3 - 8:45 p.m., games and food vendors. The annual parade will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the festival. IRVINE - FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION. The new Irvine tradition will take place from 4 - 9:30 p.m. at the Great Park, Sand Canyon off the 5 Freeway. LAGUNA NIGUEL - LAGUNA NIGUEL SUMMER CONCERTS/4TH OF JULY PROGRAM. The annual Mission Viejo Independence Day celebration takes place from noon - 9 p.m. on Olympiad Road between Marguerite Parkway and Melinda Road. The festival includes ongoing entertainment on two stages, game and rides (fee), food, craft and merchandise booths, and more.
