CLAREMONT - CLAREMONT FRIDAY NIGHTS LIVE. The Friday night concert series takes place through October at locations in Claremont Village. ALHAMBRA - ALHAMBRA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER PROGERAMS. The Alhambra Performing Arts Center, under the direction of chef/artistic director Bill Yee, will present the Beatles tribute group Britain's Finest. LOS ANGELES (SOUTH AND EAST) - 6TH ANNUAL LEIMERT PARK JAZZ FESTIVAL. The 4th Annual Leimert Park Jazz Festival will take place from 12:30 - 8:30 p.m. (doors open at 11:30 a.m.) on the rooftop parking deck at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, 3650 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. General admission is free. This year the festival will include performances by The Dee Dee Bridgewater Quartet, Sasha Berliner, Dayren Santana and Made in Cuba, The World Stage Big Band and The Melanin Horns. SAN PEDRO - LIGHT AT THE LIGHTHOUSE FESTIVAL. The Light at the Lighthouse Festival, a Christian music festival, will take place from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Mesa/6th Street in downtown San Pedro. Celebrate the Eastside Sound Community Concert featuring Tierra (Latin Pop/R&B/Funk/Salsa) with Mark Guerrero with Mark and The Escorts and Tango and Yaqui. LOS ANGELES (WEST) - GETTY CENTER PROGRAMS. Transa: A Celebration. The Celebration is a festival of trans artistry inspired by the landmark 2004 concept album from Red Hot Organization. The site-wide event will take place with programming beginning at 3 p.m. and a main stage concert at 6 p.m. There also will be a reading room and sound installatios in the Central Garden. CULVER CITY - MUSIC IN THE CHAMBERS. PLEASE NOTE: THIS CONCERT IS LISTED AS SOLD OUT BUT A WAITLIST OPTION IS AVAILABLE ON EVENTBRITE. Music in the Chambers returns with a concert by the Sakura Cello Quintet, presenting arrangements for five cellos. LOS ANGELES (DOWNTOWN AND VICINITY) - PALISADES SYMPHONY. Three Tenor Titans: A Night of Opera Favorites, conducted by Maxim Kuzin, with guest conductor Andrew Karatay. Tenors Wiyoung Oh, Doo (David) Suk Yang and Jungrok Oh will perform with the Palisades Symphony in a celebration of vocal and orchestral favorites. LAKEWOOD - LAKEWOOD PATRIOT DAY CEREMONY. The City of Lakewood invites the public to a flag-lowering ceremony at 6:30 p.m. outside of City Hall, 5050 Clark Avenue. The ceremony will include the presentation of colors, remarks from Lakewood's mayor, a keynote speaker, musical performance and moment of silence. At the conclusion of the ceremony, trumpeters from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will play taps as our national flag is lowered for the night and the Los Angeles County Fire Department will conduct a bell-ringing ceremony.
